Engineering and Design

Material Selection

Material selection can include both specific components and the implementation of complete facilities. It is based on risk-based design criteria, considering future operations and adapting to standards established by clients. This ensures that each project is executed with quality, efficiency, and in line with each owner's internal practices.

Corrosion Modeling

We use semi-empirical corrosion models for well installations, pipelines, and process plants that allow us to estimate potential damage levels and evaluate scenarios, providing support for decision-making.

Corrosion Control and Monitoring Strategies

We help our clients design and implement corrosion control and monitoring strategies for their facilities from the early stages of the project.

Identification of Damage Mechanisms and Risk Assessment

We provide support for risk analysis, HAZID, HAZOP, and other activities in new projects or existing facilities to identify all potential and rationally probable damage mechanisms.

Corrosion Control Documents (CCD - API 970)

Corrosion control documents centralize the most relevant information for understanding the actual and potential degradation mechanisms to which facilities and equipment are subject under normal operation. They define the control and mitigation strategies with which the plant was designed, and the rationale behind the operating limits to ensure integrity in the medium and long term.

Operating Windows (IOW - API 584)

Operating windows are the thermometer for process units. We define the limits of the main operating variables to ensure unit integrity over time.

Operation and Maintenance

Situation Diagnosis

Changes in operating conditions, inspection or field findings, anomalous operating parameters, failures or near-failures in the same process unit or related facilities are often sources of concern and alert.

A situational assessment consists of a comprehensive evaluation of these facts and/or data perceived as threats, with the goal of determining whether the problem is real or not, its scope, and possible courses of action.

Failure Analysis

It consists of determining the failure mode and the physical mechanism that caused it (mechanical, assisted by the environment, etc.), based on the physical evidence present in the failed part.

Root Cause Analysis

It extends the scope of failure analysis by incorporating the evaluation of information collected on-site, operating history, component inspection and maintenance, interviews with plant personnel, and a review of other relevant background information. The objective is not only to determine the failure mode and mechanism but also the root cause and possible mitigation actions.

Incident Investigation

We provide support to Integrity and HSE areas, bringing the expertise of our specialists to the interdisciplinary groups responsible for investigating integrity and environmental incidents.

Deposit Characterization

The presence of deposits in process equipment and piping can lead to operational or integrity problems. Understanding the nature of these deposits becomes an extremely useful tool for future decision-making, setting operating limits, and establishing monitoring and inspection strategies.

Detour Management

We provide support in monitoring and managing compliance with established operating windows by generating dashboards with the main indicators of your system's health.

API 581 Risk-Based Inspection Plans

We develop and update risk-based inspection plans, in accordance with API 580/581 guidelines, industry best practices, and/or our clients' own standards.
